Assessment overview
We thoughtfully design our assessments to help eliminate human bias and rigorously evaluate the critical skills needed to innovate and thrive at Roblox. From marketing and data science to software engineering and product management, we use a mix of assessments that measure problem-solving, technical ability, and decision-making skills. You can tackle them all at once or pace them out over a week, whichever approach empowers you to perform your best.
Problem solving
Built on Roblox, our problem-solving tasks are a series of game-based assessments designed to demonstrate how you approach and solve problems. Once completed, you'll explain the methods you used in the form of a short essay.
Decision making
In a Roblox experience, you'll be presented with a series of workplace scenarios designed to assess how you make decisions. You'll select what you believe to be the most or least effective course of action.
Coding skills
Sent to all technical applicants via CodeSignal, this coding assessment is unique to Roblox and is used to understand each candidate's technical skill set.
Practice test: Kaiju Cats
Familiarize yourself with our unique game mechanics in a no-pressure environment. Kaiju Cats mirrors the basic gameplay UI and strategic tactics you'll encounter in the problem-solving test. Plus, it's fully replayable! You can practice until you're confident!
